New Hobby

Connor's new favorite hobby is to open and close every door in our house especially the front door. So poor Jobu has lost her favorite sunning spot when the door is open.

Visiting Murray

We went home last weekend to visit with our families again, we just can't get enough of them lately it seems. Michael's grandmother is staying with his parents and Connor wanted to go see his Gigi again. While at Michael's parent's house Connor took his first trip up the stairs. He loved the challenge and has tried to climb ours as well but they're a little steeper so it's more work. He came home with lots of toys from his cousin Walker passed on to him and has had fun playing with them.

More Pictures From Murray

Just a few more pictures from our trip to Murray. He loved seeing mom and dad's kitties especially Lilly who was curious about him too.

Happy 10 Month Birthday!!

We hit the 10 month birthday on July 18th, and in our monthly tradition we took his picture with a home made sign made courtesy of mommy. Then he tried to eat the paper when we were finished.

What's That Face About?

What kind of face is this??

Standing Up

When Connor started crawling a few weeks ago he also started pulling himself up on his toy basket. He loves to stand there and check out all of his toys and then pull them out and throw them on the floor.

Swimmin'

Connor went swimming for the first time in his new baby pool this weekend. He loves splashing around in the water.

Cave Hill Cemetery

For his birthday my dad wanted to go to the cemetery, go figure. I have been wanting to check out Cave Hill Cemetery on Grinstead, but haven't had the time. It's been around since the mid 1800's and it's beautiful. We had great weather while we drove around and searched for the famous people buried there. Although we didn't make it to the grave of the founder of Kentucky Fried Chicken, we did see the grave of George Rogers Clark and the woman who wrote the "Happy Birthday" song. Quite appropriate for dad on his birthday and a good photo-op as well.

More Cave Hill Pictures

Here are a few more pictures from Cave Hill.

Grandparents and Great-Grandparents

Connor was spoiled rotten the week of July 4th. He had his grandparents, Mama D and PaPaw and great-grandma, Gigi come to visit him on Sunday and they stayed until Wednesday. We grilled out on the 4th after the big thunderstorm and Connor slept through all of the neighborhood fireworks which surprised us.

More Grandparents!!

After Michael's parents and grandmother left on Wednesday after the 4th we had a new wave of granparents come in Wednesday night to celebrate Papa's (my dad's) 62nd birthday on Thursday. We bought a hat a few years ago when we took my parents to Lynn's Paradise Cafe for breakfast. They have crazy things in their gift store and we decided to start the birthday hat tradition after we bought the most gaudy birthday hat imaginable. Dad looks thrilled to be wearing it, I think he looks sad because it doesn't match his outfit. Connor decided he wanted to wear the hat too.

Crawling

Connor is officially a crawler now! It's so funny to watch those uncoordinated little chubby arms and legs move across the floor. He's pretty slow now but I know he'll pick up the pace soon.

Our Trip to the Zoo

I think we picked the hottest day of the year to go to the zoo, but we had a good time.
