Valentine's Weekend

Mimi and Poppy came to visit us this weekend and we had a full weekend. They watched Keaton for us so we could go to a friend's birthday party on Friday night and they got to watch Connor play soccer on Saturday morning. We headed to the Newport Aquarium and got pulled over on the way (actually it was my parents who were behind us, but we all got off without a ticket!). We were lucky enough to find a place to eat dinner that wasn't too crowded with lovers after we saw all the fish and sharks. They opened a Wild Eggs in Westport Village which is close to our house and we had to go there for breakfast on Sunday. It was worth the wait, as always.

Newport Aquarium

Connor thoroughly enjoyed the aquarium since he's currently obsessed with sharks and fish. Shark Tales, The Reef, and Finding Nemo are in heavy rotation at our house as well as a book about sharks. We did see "Nemo" or at least a clown fish that looked just like him. The hands down favorite of the day was the Hammerhead shark so he left with a smaller version from the gift store.
White tipped reef shark, I know this from the book I've read hundreds of times now.
This green eel was super creepy!
The jelly fish were some of my favorites. So peaceful to watch them float around.

Piranas

Connor got some skates for Valentine's Day and he loves them. He looked so cute in his gloves and pads. At first he was a little scared but he got the hang of it and by the end of the day he was jumping in them.

He ended the day with a "shark's fin" on his head. Yeah I know, he needs a hair cut right? He got one today as a matter of fact.

4 Month Stats

Keaton had a good visit with his doctor last week. Here's the stats: 26 1/2 inches (90th percentile) and 16 pounds, 1 ounce (75th percentile). He got two shots and cried a few seconds after the second shot. Such a tough boy we have! He's rolled over from his stomach to his back several times, but every time I try to get it on tape he won't do it. Connor said he'd roll him over himself, but I said we'd pass on that one.

Happy 4 Month Birthday Keaton!

Keaton's 4 months old today. Connor said we needed to have a birthday party for him but since Keaton's not ready for cake just yet we sang Happy Birthday and Connor had an Oreo instead.
Sweet brothers in Connor's bed.
Instead of cake Keaton tried rice cereal for the first time tonight. I wasn't sure if he'd like it but he ate a ton. Our baby's growing up fast!

Are You Ready for Some Football?

Connor had to wear his UK football outfit for the big Superbowl game on Sunday. He's got some power in his tackles now so you have to be on your toes at all times.

Snow!!

We got our fair share of snow and ice last week and it even snowed again today. Connor likes to help his daddy shovel the driveway.
