Conversations with Connor

Still no baby as of today. I go back to the doctor on Friday so we will see if I've progressed anymore. My due date is August 9th, so there will be a baby soon!

A recent conversation with Connor on the way home from VBS.

Connor: "Mom, I love Jesus."
Me: "And Jesus loves you."
Connor: "No, I SAID I love cheese sticks."
Me: "My mistake."

In my defense Jesus and cheesesticks do sound quite similar when spoken by a four year old.

In another conversation regarding when baby Cooper would arrive Connor told us he knew when Cooper was coming. We asked him when he thought that would be and he said, "I'm not telling!" Well neither is Cooper so we will all just wait together!

No Baby Yet.....

Well, it's almost a week since my last OB appointment and I still look like this. We really thought he'd be here by now, but he's decided otherwise. Connor tells me he knows when Cooper's coming, but when I ask him when he says he can't tell me. Frustrating! On the positive side, we've tried our best to get things in order before the big day and we've had several days to do so. So thanks to Cooper!

We've been enjoying some time indoors since it's been so hot outside and this pregnant mama isn't interested in sweating it out in this heat! Our dining room is currently housing a tent, see below.
Back in June we visited the playground at the boys new preschool at Crestwood United Methodist. Connor will go Monday through Thursday and Keaton on Monday and Wednesday. This means mommy will have a little break on Mondays and Wednesdays, hurray!!

Connor showing off his muscles. Keaton does it too, but we've not gotten a picture of it yet. Pretty funny.
Keaton meeting our neighbor dog, Cabo. He reminded me of the dog on Funny Farm.

This boy loves ranch dressing and has been known to turn it up and drink it straight from the container. Yuck!!
Mama D and PaPaw came up from Murray to see us last weekend and see the new house. We also thought we might have a baby, but that wasn't the case! I don't have a picture on my camera of them with the boys, so you can check them out in Mama D's wheel chair above.
We also attended a Farewell Mexican Fiesta at the Novakovics house on Saturday. We are sad they are moving back to Chicago very soon. Connor and James are big buddies and have been since they were 2 and I'll dearly miss their mommy, Jennie, as well!
Keaton and his first water balloon. He wasn't quite sure what to do with it.
You can't have a summer party without a slip-n-slide!

Mid July Baby Update!

Well, no pictures downloaded that I can post but I will give a quick baby Cooper update. I had an ultrasound last week and the week before to check my fluid levels and they were "a low normal" which is better than just low I guess. 2 weeks ago he was estimated at 6 pounds 13 ounces which I think sounds about right. Just this morning I went to the doctor and she said I am 3 cm dilated and 75% effaced and his head is low. I had just told Michael last night that I felt that he had dropped down. So it could be a week or it could be days. I'm betting days, maybe this weekend. We better get to work on his bedroom tonight, poor thing doesn't have a thing put in a drawer or a bed to sleep in!

Also on the homefront we moved into the new house over July 4th weekend. We paid movers this time which was the best idea ever. I sat in my chair on the front porch and directed the men who brought in the loads of stuff we have accumulated over the years. The boys have adjusted well and Connor quite enjoys having his new room with an extra bed, perfect for a grandparent to sleep in.

That's all for now, my next post will probably be baby news so stay tuned......
