Quality Time With the Fam

We headed to Evansville Saturday for some quality time with Michael's family. Connor perked up in the car when we told him we were going to see his cousin Walker.

Playtime

Connor's hanging out with his older girlfriend Riley. Actually, she's only got him by three days.

Say Cheese!!

Blankie

We've got a Linus on our hands folks. He drags his blankie around everywhere he goes. He has one for daycare and one to keep at home. When he's not dragging it around, he's chewing on it.

Do you think we have enough toys to play with?
Move over "Hello Wildcat" my new favorite book is "Goodnight Gorilla."
I love to pick out all of the animals in the story.

We gave Connor my old cell phone when I got my new one. He was so excited to finally get one like mommy and daddy's. He's been spending a lot of time on it too, I hope he's not calling China.

Happy Valentine's Day

It's a bird!
It's a plane!
It's a.........
Penguin balloon!!!
We got our little valentine a balloon that was as big as he was. Too bad he popped it a few hours later by biting it's little webbed foot.

Going to the Gym

To add to our growing list of weekly activities we've also joined the gym. Well, the baby gym to be exact. My friend and her little girl go to this kid's gym and we decided to try it out last Saturday too. It's a kid's dream with balls, slides, trampolines, and swings. Connor quite enjoyed his time in the ball pit. The ball pit takes me back to good ol' days of ball jumpin' at Opryland. Now as a parent I can't help but think about all the germs that are lurking in that pit.
They even had a trapeze to swing on, and although he looks a bit frightened he really did enjoy it.
The swing was by far the biggest hit of all with the little guy. They had them out again this Saturday and Connor was the first in line.

I WANT THAT!!!!

Why is it that kids always want things they're not supposed to have? Like the digital camera, remote controls, telephones, beer bottles, sharp objects, and the list could go on forever. Now when I try and take his picture I get chased like I'm the paparazzi. I can't count how many times I've said, "No, that's mommy's" or "No, that's daddy's." We just can't wait until he can say "NO, MINE" in return!

Playin' in the Bathroom

"What fun it is to play in mommy and daddy's bathroom."
"I've got all I need, my makeup mirror and my toothbrush."
Too bad we can't get him to use his own cute little toothbrush.

The Wheels on the Bus Go Round and Round

What's the best thing about going to the mall? (No, it's not shopping in Connor's opinion). Driving the bus is so much fun.
I asked him if I could get a ride to school, but he said that I was too big. No he didn't actually say that, it sounded more like babbling and horn honking.

Music Class

Connor has become quite the music fanatic lately. He's been going to Music Together with Miss Miriam since he was about 6 months old. At first, he just sat back and watched everyone else, but now he's really into it. In the first picture we're shakin' the egg shakers.
The teacher is smart and covers the boxes of instruments until it's time to play with them. Connor's no dummy-throughout the entire class he's pointing at the boxes until she gets them out.
Connor has a few favorite tunes in class, his current fave is "Goin' to Bostin" and he enjoys dancing naked at home to this little ditty before bathtime. I can tell you that nothing's cuter than a naked dancing baby.

Technical Difficulties

For some reason the newest pictures we've added over the weekend aren't coming up when you open this page. Just standby-it may take a minute or two for them to pop up. Or if you're just dying to see the picture, you can click on the place it should be able view it that way.

First Haircut

Here's a picture from last night at bathtime. The hair's getting pretty long don't you think? Connor's been mistaken for a girl several times lately (it's not like we dress him in pink). So we decided it was time for a haircut.
He's calm and collected here, just giving her instructions on what he wants. "Just a trim and take a little length off the back please." No more mullet......
Uh oh, he cried and cried as soon as she used the spray bottle to wet his hair. You'd think we'd taken him to the doctor's office by the way he reacted. The person cutting said it was normal for them to cry. Poor guy.
Still crying....
All done, and now he looks like a big boy. I have to admit I was a little sad he didn't look like my baby anymore, but I'll get used to it. Let's hope it doesn't grow very fast, we don't look forward to doing it again anytime soon. He did get a nice certificate with his picture and a few locks of hair to commemorate the day and a balloon.
