Sesame Street Concert

Today we went to see "Sesame Street Live" with Connor.
Mmmmm.....cotton candy. He wasn't much on it though so Michael and I had to eat the rest. Can you guess how much it cost? $5.00!! Craziness. The real kicker was when the man with 50 Elmo balloons came by on the 15 minute break and every kid in the place wanted one. As one father passed by, red balloon in hand, he mouthed to his wife, "This was $10!" What??? I couldn't believe it, $10 for a balloon? That's highway robbery in my opinion. No way was I going to shell out that much money for a stinkin' balloon that would get stuck to the ceiling in the two story entry way at our house. Said balloon never to be seen again until the helium starts to leak.

Overall, Connor enjoyed the concert and said his favorite character was Cookie Monster. Me? I prefer "Wicked" over this performance, but we didn't go for ourselves.
Oh the things we do for our kids.

Our Weekend

Mimi and Poppy came up to visit us and they brought Easter baskets for the boys. Connor, being his father's child, was most interested in the candy. He tries to trick us by saying that so and so said I could have some more candy. Not usually the case though. I hope the Easter bunny brings us a new toothbrush or else he'll be paying the expensive dentist bills when this kid has a filling!
Yep, Keaton happy as always. Could he BE any happier?

Another attempt at a family photo of all four of us. It's nearly an impossible task.

Sitting Up!

Keaton is now enjoying a new view of the world which he quite enjoys. He's sitting up! Looks as though he and bear are having a stare down.
We always took pictures of Connor with toys on his head so we have to continue the tradition.

We finally brought up the high chair and dusted it off this weekend. Keaton loves to be up at our level and he can sit up and play which is nice.
Just a cutie pie.
Connor got a swim shirt for the beach, does he look excited? He said he was going to show Keaton how to swim and jump in the water. He tells me almost every day he wants to go to the beach TODAY!!

Keaton's found his toes and loves to pull off his shoes and socks when he's supposed to be taking a nap.

Show and tell yesterday at school. Bring something with the letter U. It was a toss up between Lightening McQueen underwear or the frog umbrella.
Michael's parents, Mama D and PawPaw came up for a visit last weekend and got to see Connor play soccer. We also took advantage of the free babysitting. Gotta love the grandparents!

Swings!!

Keaton tried out his brand new swing today since we had such nice weather. He seemed to enjoy himself. Back in the day that's all Connor wanted to do when we went to the park.

Wheeeeeeee!!!

Feeding the Ducks and Geese

There's a pond by our house and since we've had such nice weather we decided we should go feed the ducks and geese.
It's also fun to just pick up dirty rocks. What else would you expect from a boy?

The rule of the day was, "Watch out for the duck poop!"

Yes, I know we bleed blue in our house, but mommy works for U of L so you gotta get a little red in there somewhere! Besides UK isn't doing so great these days.
There's not a minute that goes by that Keaton's not sitting around with his hand in his mouth. I won't be surprised if this kid goes to college with his pacifier.
Connor's still loving soccer and we signed him up for the next session too.
He says, "Saturdays are for soccer!"

Finally a smiling picture of our sweet boy, no bribery involved.
His latest funny quote........
Mommy: "Hold your horses Connor."
Connor: "I can't I'm holding my cars!"

Happy 5 months!

March 4th....Keaton's 5 months old today. Time is still flying by for us. Happy 5 months to our sweet boy!

I think this is a good Gerber baby picture, don't you?

Don't Take My Picture!

Nope, Connor's not interested in having his picture made unless it's with Keaton. As you can see in this shot his hand is raised as he says, "Don't take my picture!!" Hence the many pictures of Keaton posted lately on the blog.

Today at school they talked about the letter S and it was also show and tell day. Connor wore his shark shirt, took his shark book, and his Hammerhead shark. The teachers were very impressed that he knew the names of all the sharks, and if you could hear him say Wobbegong shark you'd laugh too.

As I look at this picture I remember a story from last week. Amanda, our babysitter, said while she was putting Keaton to bed for a nap Connor decided to put almost an entire roll of toilet paper in the toilet downstairs. This was, of course, a bad idea. She came down the stairs to see water flowing out of the toilet and two soaked rugs. After a stern lecture from mommy and daddy he says, "You only use a few sheets to wipe when you go potty." Hopefully this lesson will stick.

Brotherly Love

Connor loves to share his knowledge about sharks with Keaton. Baby brother is very interested in anything Connor's doing and responds by giving him a gummy grin every time.

What We've Been Up To Lately

Keaton enjoys his excersaucer now. It's amazing to see that he already knows how to work the toys on it.
Just a smiley baby, as always!
We went to an Oscar party at Jennie's house and I won $50!! I made quite a few lucky guesses because I'm really not an experienced movie critic.
"What's that you say Daddy?"
I'm sure he's telling him something very important.
