I Feel Like Dancing

We had a family outing to the Summit last Thursday night to listen to a blues band. Connor had fun dancing with another little girl who became quite attached to him and followed him around everywhere he went. He was not so impressed. I guess it will be a few more years before he takes an interest in the opposite sex.

Churchill Downs

Well it's raining outside today so not much is going on at our house. Here's some pictures from our day at Churchill Downs with the Crouches, Jeters and Halls. Michael and I didn't win a thing! Oh well, better luck next time. Note: Michael is mad because I posted this picture and his eyes are closed, but they were closed in all of them!

Happy Father's Day!!

My parents (a.k.a. Mimi and Poppy) came in to babysit for us Saturday night so we could go to a wedding. We also took some time yesterday to celebrate Father's Day.

Here's a story for you.....we went to have brunch at Limestone and mom and I were waiting on our omlets when my dad comes up and asks me if I have another outfit for Connor in the car. That's not good I'm thinking. The reason for the much needed extra outfit you ask? The waiter, who must not have experience with children puts down a very large glass of orange juice in front of Connor who grabs it and it goes all over the table and all over the white outfit. (Yes, I broke the cardinal rule of putting the child in a white outfit again.) So he sat soaked in orange juice for the meal, but he really didn't mind as long as he got to eat some chocolate cake!

Happy Anniversary

Michael and I celebrated our 7th Anniversary on June 10th. We went to Captain's Quarters on the river with some friends to celebrate.

Tired Out

Forgive me blog fans for I have sinned. It's been several weeks since my last post.....

I told Connor last Tuesday that we were on our way to the Zoo to meet some friends and he was so excited and kept saying, "Zoo" like he knew what it was and it was sure to be lots of fun (I'm sure he didn't remember it from the one time we went last summer when he was only 9 months).

He had a really good time seeing all of the animals we read about in his books. He was a little scared of the water park they just opened. Or, it may have been the 50 or so screaming kids running around, who knows. He was tired out by the end, and had a little nap on the way home. Note: although he looks naked, he did have on his swimsuit.

Slidin'

We spent Memorial Day weekend in Murray with all of the grandparents and got to hang out with some old friends too. Connor enjoyed the slide at Mimi and Poppy's house.

Mother's Day Gift

Michael got me this quilt for Mother's Day. A company in town made it of my old college t-shirts and sweatshirts. Ahh...the memories.
