Mother's Day

I couldn't have had a better Mother's Day this year. A day on the beach and then dinner with my family and a very sweet 3 year old in my lap. Michael and I say all of the time that we are so lucky to have such wonderful boys.

Just got these group shots from my brother and no the second photo was not staged. Michael, my mom and Connor all managed to have the same expression. If you click on it you can see the expressions a bit better.

The Beach

We had the best time at the beach last week. Destin had some beautiful weather and unfortunately we had to leave the warm weather behind when we arrived home last night. Connor said, "Wow, it's cold outside!" Back to reality it is. We have so many pictures to share but we'll start with a few for now. We ended the week with Keaton putting a fistful of sand in his mouth during our little photoshoot.

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day Connor gave me a potted plant in a bucket he decorated at preschool yesterday along with a laminated card with questions that he answered. Let me share with you what was on the card.

What's your mom's name? Emily

How old is she? 48 (What?? How did he come up with that number? I would have expected number 95 because that's Lightning McQueen's number, or 3 since he's 3 years old, but no 48 it is).

What does she do? Plays with me.

What's her favorite color? Green. (Not really, but I do have a green raincoat I've been wearing a lot lately).

What's her favorite food? Macaroni (That's his favorite food, but close enough).

Where does she take you for fun? The jumping place. (a.k.a. KaZoing).

What's her favorite movie? Madagascar (Hmmm......I do like animals a lot, but my real favorite is Steel Magnolias).

What do you want to tell her on this Mother's Day? I love you. (Awwwww that's my boy!)

Happy 7 Months Keaton!!

Sweet baby boy turned 7 months old on May 4th. Hard to believe. It goes by even faster the second time around, seriously. He's still trying his best to crawl but can pull himself up into a sitting position on his own so now he's just sitting up in his crib when I go into his room.

We went for a Marti Gras theme this month I guess. He loves the beads just like his brother.

Derby Weekend

We headed to two family friendly Derby parties over the weekend. Our friends Scott and Liz get an inflatable every year and it's a great way to keep the kids occupied. They went all out this year and hand made all of the horses in their front yard.

Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures at Kim and Stephen's party, there were so many AOII kids/babies there and by the end of the day all the kids were worn out.

Connor spent Friday and Saturday morning pretending to be a racehorse. I asked him his name and he said Seabiscuit. Not sure where he heard that one? I had to call the races for him and of course he always won! Keaton's exersaucer turned out to be a great way to reinact the race as well.
