Bubbles

I just wanted to add this picture because I thought it was cute. On to the bubbles....my child is obsessed with these little translucent floating objects, but then again what kid isn't? It's all he talks about. Here's the conversation as we approach our house.
Connor: "Our house."
Mommy: "Yes, it is our house."
Connor: "Bubbles, I want bubbles."
Mommy: "It's so hot outside Connor, I think it's 100 degrees outside. Wouldn't you rather go inside and play in the air conditioning?"
Connor: "Bubbles, I want bubbles!!"
Mommy: "Maybe later sweetie."
Connor: (Sound of inconsolable crying.)

Summertime Fun

Connor's been a busy boy this summer, and has been passing the days with friends (esp. Riley above) and lots of other activities.
Celebrating Daddy's 33rd birthday! Wow daddy when did you get so old???
Spending some quality time with Papaw and Gigi in Murray. Baseball has been added to the list of sports he enjoys. The current list includes "baketball" and golf.

All of these activities have left him a tired boy. He tells us, "Lie down mommy and daddy" while pointing a a pillow he's thrown on the floor. We have to cover up with blankies and pretend to sleep, so he can yell, "Wake up mommy and daddy" as loud as possible which ususally wakes the cat too. She's not too enthused.
He's been a big helper watering the yard.

Chowing down on a snack.
He's turned into a little Tiger Woods lately. He's always saying, "Mommy, Daddy, hit the ball, hit the ball, hit the ball!!!" He also gets very frustrated when his ball doesn't make it in the hole. I told him yelling very loudly and crying isn't sportsmanlike conduct, but what can you expect from an almost 2 year old?

Vacation Pictures

We've got TONS of pictures to share from our trip, almost 500 actually. I'll try and post a few at a time as to not bore you to death.
Beautiful Hotel on Oxford Street and tons of shops. The shopping in London is to die for, but the only problem is the dollar is 2.20 to the British pound so you have to double everything which makes it quite expensive. Think $6.00 for one coke!!
Buckingham Palace...we went here the day we arrived and didn't see the changing of the guard, it was too much trouble to get there early on the days they do it. We did see a guard stomping around in front which was neat.
Hyde Park is beautiful and there was a big triathalon going on the day we were there which added some excitement.
We ate a lot of pub fare while in London and I have to say it wasn't my cup of tea at all. Michael on the otherhand loved the food!

We're Back!!

We survived our overseas trips to England and France and had a great time and got over the jetlag in a few days. Michael loved trying out beers he's never had before and I loved getting to return to the places I saw last time we visited as well as a few new things. Pictures to come from the trip, we have sooooo many!! Connor had a blast with Michael's family and I doubt he missed us at all.

Speaking of the little guy, we had to visit the doctor's office on Monday because something bit him on Saturday night and his leg was all red and swollen on Sunday morning as we were getting ready to head to church. His pediatrician, who is our neighbor--convenient if we had a major emergency, said that it's cellulitis or infection of the soft tissue. So he gave him an antibiotic and it's already looking better. We also found out he has a heart murmur which he should grow out of. Then on Tuesday he got a bloody lip at a friend's house and fell out of his chair on Wednesday which added a big scratch across his forehead! We're looking really good now. Life with a toddler, never a dull moment.
